“Before cooking: Preheat oven. Place the chicken in ovenable bag in a deep roasting tin (approx. 5 cm deep). Cook for 1 hour on the middle shelf of the oven. Make sure the bag does not touch the oven walls, shelves or heating element. During cooking: Remove from the oven, place on a flat heatproof surface and open the bag carefully by slitting down the front of the bag with scissors. Take care when opening the bag as steam will be released. Baste the chicken with the cooking juices and return to the oven and cook for a further 20 minutes. Handle with care: The bag may open during cooking and cause cooking juices to seep from the foil tray into the roasting tin. ”

“Hawaii-based artist Jeremy Dean’s Rended Flag series destabilizes the symbolism of the American flag, painstakingly unraveling and reweaving each flag, thread by thread, to reveal its fragility as a national emblem. Presented together for the first time, major works from the past decade trace Dean’s slow, meticulous process through which he transforms political urgency into sustained reflection, advancing a hopeful vision of democracy as an unfinished project.”

“In this guide we’ll cover the different types of hose fittings to choose from, ranging from hose tap connectors to spray gun attachments and everything in between. ”
— from Hose Connector Buying Guide | Toolstation as of 12 October 2026
In the UK, standard outdoor taps (spigots) and garden hose accessories almost universally use 3/4-inch BSP (British Standard Pipe) threads.
How to verify: Measure the outside diameter of the male thread on your tap or existing hose connector using a tape measure or ruler. A standard 3/4-inch BSP thread will measure approximately 26.5 mm across the outer diameter (despite the "3/4 inch" name referring to an older nominal bore size).

“Unpaid carers play a vital role in society, supporting friends and family because of illness, disability, mental health problems or addiction. Caring is often rewarding but without the right support, it can come at a personal and financial cost.
We analysed national survey data from 2018 to 2025 on caring in the UK. 1 in 6 of all UK adults – equivalent to 8.9 million people – provided unpaid care in the period 2023–25 (similar to 2018–20). The true extent of unpaid care may be higher, since not all unpaid carers will identify as such.
Caring responsibilities did not fall equally: older people were more likely to be unpaid carers and women were 29% more likely than men to be unpaid carers.
Almost two-thirds (61%) of carers provided less than 20 hours of unpaid care a week. More than 1 in 5 (22%) unpaid carers provided more than 35 hours a week in 2023–25. These carers were more likely to provide care in the home.
37% of unpaid carers aged 18–29-years-old reported having a long-term health condition or being disabled, compared with 22% of 18–29-year-olds not providing unpaid care.
Working-age unpaid carers were less likely to be in paid employment – 59% were in paid employment, compared with 67% of working-age adults who were not carers. This fell to just 35% among those caring for more than 35 hours a week.”
