Guardians Upon High: An Application of Routine Activities Theory to Online Identity Theft in Europe at the Country and Individual Level | The British Journal of Criminology | Oxford Academic
Guardians Upon High: An Application of Routine Activities Theory to Online Identity Theft in Europe at the Country and Individual Level | The British Journal of Criminology | Oxford Academic: "This paper adds to the theory of cybercrime and policy debates by: (1) showing that country physical guardianship (e.g. cyber security strategy) moderates the effects of individual physical guardianship; (2) introducing a typology of online capable guardianship: passive physical, active personal and avoidance personal guardianship; (3) showing that online identity theft is associated with personal and physical guardianship; and (4) identifying public Internet access and online auction selling as highly risky routine activities."

Review: Women and Power by Mary Beard, Down Girl by Kate Manne

Internet use and cyber crime 2006 to 2017 - Office for National Statistics: "we publish statistics from the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) and the number of crimes recorded by the police in England and Wales. Within these statistics cyber crime is not in itself a separate legal offence and thus does not form part of the offence list that is reported within the Official Statistics. However, there is some information on cyber crime available from both these sources."

Associations between empathy and big five personality traits among Chinese undergraduate medical students: "big five personality traits accounted for 19.4%, 18.1%, 30.2% of the variance in three dimensions of empathy, namely, perspective taking, empathic concern and personal distress, respectively. Specifically, agreeableness had a strong positive association with empathic concern (β = 0.477, P<0.01), and a moderate association with perspective taking (β = 0.349, P<0.01). Neuroticism was strongly associated with personal distress (β = 0.526, P<0.01) and modestly associated with perspective taking (β = 0.149, P<0.01). Openness to experience had modest associations with perspective taking (β = 0.150, P<0.01) and personal distress (β = -0.160, P<0.01). Conscientiousness had a modest association with perspective taking (β = 0.173, P<0.01)."

Philosopher Kate Manne on 'Himpathy,' Donald Trump, and Rethinking the Logic of Misogyny
https://jezebel.com/philosopher-kate-manne-on-himpathy-donald-trump-and-r-1822639677
"What I end up doing is making two conceptual moves. One is to move an agent-center or perpetrator-center picture of misogyny to one that is victim or target-centered. So, it's about what women face, not what men feel. The other is to make it a more explicitly politically-centered conception so it's what women face not because they're women, represented as such in men's mind but because they're women in a man's world and within historical patriarchy. That will mean that in as much that they violate patriarchal norms and expectations, there's a heightened risk of being subject to hostile, hateful, aversive treatment. It's the hatred you face, not the hatred he feels."
