Fwd: Cannabis software in the cloud

Dearest,
Apparently, a lot of MMJ dispensaries, across state lines, use a sales and management software that only resides in the cloud. Even the shop's tills are just dumb terminals (or ipads) for this software. For a number of days, dispensaries were without access to the largest supplier, because they'd been taken offline in a hack attack. No one can call in the FBI for expertise because it's federally illegal to deal with cannabis.

How to turn off snooping features on smart TVs

How to turn off snooping features on smart TVs: "A few weeks ago, I investigated automatic content recognition (ACR) systems found on televisions from Samsung, LG, and Vizio. This technology, which has been deeply integrated into many smart TVs since 2012, is designed to identify what viewers are watching, then send that information in real time to the TV manufacturers' third-party vendors."
